The Woman Behind The Blog
I’m Cindy, a wife and mother of two grown children. I live with my husband, two dogs, one cat and several chickens just north of Seattle, Washington. I’m a woman who’s been through some serious health battles, including obesity, hypertension and cancer. In 2017 I was invited to KetoCon by Jared and Misti, owners of AlternaSweets. Ketowhat?
I didn’t know anything about what “eating keto” meant. KetoCon was three days of immersion in all things keto. I heard doctors, scientists and real people talk about health benefits and strategies for a successful keto way of life. When I returned home, I immediately began eating keto and haven’t looked back.
In 2009 I was diagnosed with Stage II Breast Cancer. I underwent surgery, chemo and radiation. The treatment left me with devastating, long term health issues.
As a cancer survivor, finding the ketogenic life gave me hope. I now have tools that will help me reduce the chances of my cancer coming back. I have tools to help me lower my high blood pressure, reduce my risk for heart disease and diabetes.
I hope to make a difference by providing as much information as I can to my friends, family and strangers looking to improve their own health.
